So I’m sure many of you made New Year’s Resolutions to get fit and eat healthy. Well how about we actually accomplish that this year? Here are a few healthy, clean recipes that are easy to make and tasty! Hopefully they serve as inspiration for a healthy year ahead! Oh, and I also included a detailed recipe for the turkey meatballs below.
Banana Pancakes by Cassey Ho from Blogilates. I added a tbsp of old-fashioned oats to the batter to add a little body. Topped with fresh blueberries no sugar-added raspberry jam.
Recipe:Turkey Meatballs (with veggies!)
- 1 tray of ground turkey (mine was about 1.3 lbs)
- 1/2 cup of minced celery
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1/2 cup quick oats or old-fashioned
- 2-3 white button mushrooms, minced
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of Mrs. Dash seasoning, Original Blend
- 1 tsp salt
- black pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine vegetables and seasoning with ground turkey in a large mixing bowl. Then beat egg separately and add it to the bowl. Mix the ingredients by hand.
Line a 13 x 9″ baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly coat it with olive oil or PAM. Roll the meat into golf-sized balls and place on tray. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until completely cooked.
