BAM! 64 oz of juice. 8 oz every hour. Was I able to follow it exactly? Ehh I didn’t consistently drink it every hour and I was not able to finish the entire 64 oz. Let me tell you about the juice..with all the pulp it’s THICK. You definitely need to dilute it with some ice or water to make it drinkable. I also drank lots of water (but not enough!) and some herbal tea throughout the day.
I was able to workout a bit today too: went on a 3 mile jog and felt fine afterwards (except for the fact that it was freezing outside). Maybe I’ll sneak in some OJ or something tomorrow if I plan on working out again.
For food I was allowed a nice handful of cooked veggies and 6 oz of protein. So around lunch time I had an egg with a few almonds along with the juice. Then for dinner I paired a Chile Lime Chicken Patty from Trader Joe’s with some sautéed some zucchini and mushrooms and avocado on the side. When I really wanted solid food throughout, I’d munch on a few almonds to keep me satisfied.
So Day 1 is done and I’m feeling pretty good. Let’s see how Day 2 and 3 pan out.
