And now, after two grueling weeks of finals studying I am rewarded with a five week winter break. Five weeks of joy, food, family and friends–ah, such bliss! But five weeks is a bit too long that pure indulgence and laziness is inexcusable.
I’m a girl who lives on a schedule, I always plan out my day and create a mental check-list. Whether I finished reading a book or just grabbed coffee with a friend, the end result of drawing an imaginary “check” in my head is just too satisfying (ex. once I finish this blog post–one more check for me!). Ok so maybe I’m a little strange (or maybe not, im sure everyone does it!) but I thought I would share a few things I’m planning on doing this break to keep myself occupied:
1. Run, Yoga, Swim!
Ah the usual trying to get fit and healthy! But finally trying to start swimming again, it’s been a while since the high school swim team…
Some of you may know I’ve picked up “hooping” in the last few months. Basically it’s a “flow art” that incorporates dance and tricks with a hula hoop and usually you hoop to music. How awesome is that? I love the feeling hooping gives me, it’s so therapeutic, but I have I’ll have get back to you guys on why and how. Here is a short improv practice that ends with a hoop fail…hey I’m still learning right!
