Let me tell you a story about this company called The Levo League:
The Levo League’s goal is to provide a career community for like-minded Gen Y women professionals. The company takes social media to the next level by creating a platform that includes lifestyle and career articles, “office hours” with successful women executives, and it even includes a section with job listings! But The Levo League community doesn’t just stop with the web. The newly added LocalLEVO takes the community off-site by organizing meet-ups and networking events with fellow L(L)ers in your area. I am so excited there is a LocalLEVO Bay Area already up and running!
Anyways I first heard about The Levo League through an article on Techcrunch last November and I immediately knew I had to be part of the movement. I reached out the one of the co-founders (a former Cal bear!), Amanda Pouchot, and I was pleasantly surprised that she responded back! We had a great chat and I was eager to help but unfortunately the timing wasn’t quite right–I was about to go abroad for the semester!
Now that I’m back and ready, I am here to spread the Levo love; not because anyone asked me to but because I truly believe in the company’s mission. I recently wrote an article on “How to be an effective intern at a startup” for Levo and I had so much fun writing it that I plan to write more!
If you’re like me: young, motivated, and looking forward to growing your professional self then The Levo League is definitely for you.
That’s all I have to say for now but stay tuned for more news about this exciting endeavor!
